2023 Community Impact Report

The breadth of community engagement at Pitt is vast and continues to grow.

Our partners work to address challenges and conditions in our environment that have a major impact on people’s health, well-being and quality of life, also known as the social determinants of health—where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship and age.

The 32 programs showcased in our 2023 Community Impact Report explore how, with the power of Pitt’s resources combined with meaningful community collaborations, we can partner to help our communities, and our region, succeed.

Some programs have been operating for decades, while others are just getting started. But all have a goal of creating solutions that can take root and build long-term community capacity, that can be more widely shared and that can make a difference in the well-being of our neighbors.
