Juliana Zipay

Juliana Zipay is a strategic communicator and professional writer and designer with over 10 years of experience in the higher education and nonprofit worlds. She is passionate about creating and implementing communications strategies that are meaningful, engaging, actionable, inclusive, and accessible.

As the Communications Manager within the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs, Juliana develops and implements key communications strategies and messaging frameworks that exemplify and elevate the University’s community impact, aligning them to the institution’s mission, values, and strategic goals.

Juliana previously served as the Communications Manager within the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Human Resources for over 5.5 years. Prior to working at Pitt, she served as the Membership and Marketing Manager for Silver Eye Center for Photography, a nonprofit photography art gallery located in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood. Juliana received a Master of Public Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Communication & Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh.
